Dr. Meynig is a native Texan, born in Beaumont in 1963, as the youngest of three children. He attended Lamar University before earning his medical degree at The University of Texas at Houston. His Surgical Internship and Residency were completed at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston and Brackenridge Hospital in Austin. He began his surgical practice in Austin in 1994.
His interests include laparoscopic surgery, breast surgery and surgical oncology.
He and his wife, Lorie, have four children, Christopher, Courtney, Douglas and Andrew. He enjoys sports, outdoor activities, horses and, most of all, spending time with his wife and children. He is a member of Church of the Hills in Cedar Park, and one of his greatest satisfactions comes from honoring God with his life and surgical practice.

My experience with Dr. Meynig was nothing short of excellent. I saw him over a period of time due to a long-standing illness which needed to be managed surgically and medically. He really took his time to listen to me, and gave me all the information that I needed to make an informed decision on the best route to take to manage my illness.
